Skies of Grey and.. Hair

Grey seems to be one of my favourite colours. I seem to gravitate to a lot of grey clothing so my wadrobe does have quite a number of grey items, especially t-shirts. It's such an easy colour for anyone to pull off, it isn't too dark and isn't too bright, sombre but better than black.

These pictures are quite old when my hair was at it's longest! Ah, I already miss my long hair (which I didn't take care of very well, resulting in split ends that creeped me out). So now when I'm growing out my hair again I'm going to make sure I actually take care of it this time! (Ai, I always say that when I cut my hair)

Something about cutting hair though, sometimes (only sometimes) it can be very therapeutic. It's like "troubles be gone!" in a snip but most of the time it's quite depressing for me. Weird I know! It's like cutting off my safety blanket even if it still is quite thick and fairly long.

I'll blame that on my traumatic experience as a child when I sort of skipped school (I think I was sick), went to the hairdresser with my mother and a few minutes later I look in the mirror and I had those bowl haircuts Chinese people give their kids, except it wasn't very cute, it was very, very short. I freaked and cried and refused to go back to school the next day cause it wouldn't grow back by then. (Okay, my boyfriend is laughing at me as I'm telling this story hmphh!)

Love Ever After is a project by Lauren Fleishman which will share love stories of couples who have been married for over 50 years. I found out about this one night going through rockstar diaries, and my heart sank when I saw these pictures. Immediately when I saw these pictures, I thought about my paternal grandparents, Mama and Yeh Yeh.

Although when I was younger, I didn't really see the mushy side of their love life and instead heard them fight over taking medication and what not, (one night I had to go over to my grandparent's place with my parents to talk to my YehYeh cause he refused to take his medication due to an argument; gosh I remember sitting by YehYeh's bedside alone with him,grandpa's little girl in tears), during my grandfather's last few years I truly saw how much they loved each other.

The way my grandmother cared for him through whatever obstacle he went through, endless nights to the emergency room and months in the hospital. I remember all the stories my YehYeh used to tell me about their love life. They were married for over 50 years. She stuck with him till the end.

It's been two years since he's been gone and she still talks about him like she's just fallen in love.

I've always been amazed looking at people at the pizzeria's or Italian restaurants make pizzas and always wanted to have a go at making one. When I was a kid I used to take play dough my mom used to make and pretending to make my own "pizza" tossing it up in the air. Flipping the dough in ways that you could imagine was always fun. Well, together with Yenn we finally tried our hand at making our own pizza dough which came out pretty good. And who could pass on a fun chance to play with dough? Throughout the holidays attending open houses, dinners, meeting new people, being the socially awkward mouse I am, I watched people. No, not judging people but people watching. I mean, that's what people used to do back in the days right? Watch each person who passes by the quaint coffee shop you're seated at. Coffee in hand, eyes set to subtly people watch. I find it quite amusing, observing people. How they act, how they talk, they're attitude, what they're wearing!

Of course, you try your best to socialize and meet new people but sometimes the person you give a smile to or try to converse with has no way of keeping the conversation flow going (smacks face) and it goes totally dry. Desert dry. However, sometimes really, when you're at all these dead end socially awkward moments when you have no one to talk to, stuffed yourself with the food, stared at everything in the room already (come on, you do it too) just, watch; not directly into a strangers eyes mind you, people would think you're deranged!

You notice things you wouldn't notice on an ordinary basis. Like recently at an open house I was just a tad bored and realized, "hey, that guy's last button on his shirt is sewn with red thread, and the rest is white.. wondered if his button broke off and he really didn't have white thread?", "Wow, I wonder where that girl got that dress" and "What is a guy doing wearing sequins on a shirt like that!?" Weird. At a little coffee shop I also once watched a loving old couple share their food. Ah, love. It's pretty relaxing keeping quite and people watching, it's like day dreaming but only slightly more interesting with real life people in it.

Balancing Raw Eggs on the first day of Spring

Sounds like a pretty silly title, even I didn't believe this nonsense. And so, my sisters and I took out a carton of raw eggs, seated at the dining table started testing out this theory. If you follow me on twitter or instagram you'd know that the eggs managed to balance alright! It's believed that on the first day of spring, the pull of gravity at the Equator is balanced, thus allowing the eggs to stay upright. Even if scientists rubbish these beliefs, it's still pretty cool to try it out! Hey, you could even start a new tradition doing this every year with your siblings!

The Luxury Collection short film featuring Agyness Deyn is so beautiful. Everything from the concept, filming, location and clothes are amazing I don't think any superlative does it enough justice. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, produced by the stylish Tilda Swinton and Waris Ahluwalia, this short film makes you want to fall in love, go on a little holiday or road trip and of course, own every piece of garment Agyness Deyn wore in those fifteen minutes. Though some might find it a little boring and slow, I feel it's definitely worth fifteen minutes of your time.

A glimpse of Chinese New Year 2012

Fireworks soar high up in the dark night, firecrackers bursting loudly early in the morning, lion dances (or this year, a lot of dragon dances) welcome luck into ones home, the Lunar New Year has arrived. Fresh hair cuts, crisp brand new bright coloured clothes and shoes. Symbolic representations, red lanterns, smiles across the faces of loved ones, (cheeky ones from the little ones). A full pot of rice in the kitchen, an abundance of food in households; traditional new year cookies, bah gua, mandarin oranges. Ang paus or red packets distributed generously to the younger generation and one too many gong xi fa cai's or gong hei fatt choi (Happy Chinese New Year) said. The Chinese New Year is a pass to adding extra pounds. Every meal is simply up to your neck! Eight days of Chinese New Year so far, here are a few pictures for you to have a glimpse! (:

Apart from having a pass to indulging in truckloads of food this, is also the time of the year when gambling is actually prohibited among friends and family members! Usually I wouldn't even want to gamble but this year, after winning a few rounds, every open house I go, "let's gamble". Why not eh, once a year and I find it a good way to bond as well.Hehe.

This year, I finally got to celebrate the Lunar New Year and welcome the year of the Dragon, seeing relatives before I hop onto a plane and welcome new experiences. There was quite a bit of visiting open houses (with my boyfriend too) and also had one ourselves for my dad's friends after having a break from the whole open house thing for a few years. Also, for the first time(I think) celebrating the Lunar New Year, it actually rained..and very heavy too during the new year. Well, I guess it really is the year of the Water Dragon eh?

Watching the SAG Awards on E! this morning, I fell in love with so many dresses and the way celebrities pulled them off! I wanted to choose my top six and it was too tough, I had to go with twelve! (Had to remove Kelly Osbourne and Ahna O'Reilly) Lea Michele's dress fits like a glove on her body, even if the slit was a wee bit too high. The way it bandages her body so perfectly. Totally fell in love with Kaley Couco's dress even imagining myself in it for my dream wedding, pssht. She looks like a Disney Princess! Rose Byrne manages to make her one piece look like a dress that's both edgy and sophisticated. Naya Rivera looks totally Hollywood glam and Aimme Garcia's dress makes her look like she just flew down gracefully with that wonderful chiffon flow. (I searched high and low for the designer of this dress but can't seem to find it! Anyone?)

From what I saw on the tv screen, the details on Juliana Margulies' and Judy Greer's dress are so pretty and gosh doesn't Octavia Spencer just know what to wear for her curvaceous body! Also, not forgetting Giuliana Rancic's looking amazing in that Basil Soda dress. Unfortunately I didn't like Zoe Saldana's dress cause it looked as if she was wearing a tank top inside which made the whole dress look a little cheap.

What I wore: Chinese New Year Colour Blocking!

During Chinese New Year it's encouraged to wear the auspicious colour red and bright colours on the day to attract luck! I would have gone for a traditional cheongsam if I could find one (I've never actually worn one for my 18 years of life besides that once for a little Merdeka fashion show when I was a kid). This year, I was keeping my fingers crossed to getting a cheongsam or at least something red. Unfortunately I was having little luck shopping the whole week and couldn't even find new shoes! It's tradition that we wear new clothes and shoes you see.

Three days before the new year, I found my outfit and finally after the traditional reunion dinner the night before I decided to just buy a pair of flipflops as my "new shoes" since I couldn't find anything I liked for days! Despite many shops being closed at the shopping mall due to the festivities, that night I managed to buy a pair of flipflops and a pair of new heels. Hehe. Last minute shopping luck I say!

Just in my last post, I was inspired by colour and usually even though I love colour in everything I always tend to dress on the grey-ish side. But this outfit has all my favourite colours! Is this colour blocking worthy? I'll be updating on my Chinese New Year soon hopefully!

They look like women from Sex and the City only, they're real! All their outfits compliment one another and gosh I wish I could pull of as much colour to mix and match! Oh, and if only I could have long and skinny legs like the gorgeous girl below! The air would be just a little bit more fresher up there no? I feel like I'm getting shorter already!

Every year, around January or February, we Chinese celebrate the Lunar New Year. The malls have a whole new makeover with the auspicious red colour and the Chinese Zodiac of the year gets plastered all around packed with people buying new furniture, red deco for their house, new clothes as the day closes in and the excitement builds up with each day. Fruit shops crowded with boxes of Mandarin oranges, with "very sweet" signs all around, ready for purchase. Housewives painstakingly clean the house from top to bottom, with chinese lanterns to decorate their homes and buy truckloads of new year cookies to fill a whole cupboard! This year we celebrate the year of the dragon (water dragon to be exact), believed to be the most powerful animal in the Chinese Zodiac and a popular symbol for the Chinese.

Ah, Chinese New Year. You've got to love it. You get to see your relatives and friends, stuff yourself with good food as you go house to house and finally, of course you get ang paus (red packets) from those married or the elderly with money in them as a little good luck. I don't have a hometown but Chinese New Year is always something I look forward to, celebrating it with family and prepping for the day together. I haven't been really celebrating the Chinese New Year for the past two years due to the passing of my grandfather and later my grandmother. But this year, my family can finally celebrate the Chinese New Year and I'm really excited although of course I do wish that my Yeh Yeh and Poh Poh could be with us.

I don't understand why so many youngsters nowadays aren't enjoying Chinese New Year. I read tweets about people dreading Chinese New Year for several reasons that don't make sense. And come on, don't make the ang paus just a reason to love it, but seriously love it cause it's a beautiful celebration when everyone comes together. Make it for your reunion dinner, lou the yeesang with a smile on your face, welcome the year of the water dragon and make every second count! Oh, and remembers to stick to the taboo or "pantang" stuff like no sweeping on New Year Day and don't wear black! I'm so excited for the reunion dinner tonight and I can't wait for tomorrow! Hair's cut, new clothes laid out, nails done yay I love the holidays!

Days as seen by my iPhone: Ponds of Peace

As my PohPoh's (grandmother) passing has reached a year, this morning family and relatives went to the Nilai Memorial Park early in the morning to pay our respects. Couldn't help but notice the beautiful, huge lotus flowers growing in the ponds around the area, really amazing. Lotus flowers somehow have this serene and calming vibe, really beautiful. I learnt Buddhists believe that once a person passes on to another realm, they're actually transported by sitting on a lotus flower. The Buddha also sits peacefully on a lotus flower. Anyway, don't my pictures look like I just went on a trip to China? Except for the last one, that was when I was sitting at the car wash, eating and reading in the car before I polished the car with my sister. After which, it started to rain.

What was supposed to be lunch for six, turned out to be lunch for four last Tuesday and we had a late, but good lunch at Serai, Empire with my girlies JamiePotateoh, Sweets and Omar. The usual catching up while enjoying food (especially while starving). Bumped into a bunch of SriKDU-ians there as well, which isn't a usual sight since most of them are always on the other side (not the dark side, just..Kota Damansara) Highschool reunion? Anyway, I had a good time and I really loved the Nasi Kerabu I tried with Jamie! My first, definitely not going to be my last!

After being so filled up with lunch, we just walked around Empire and then we parted, drove home. Damn, those were the times when we used to wait for our parents at the entrance of shopping malls after an outing. We're "all grown up" now!Aha. Two hours later, I was at a Brazilian restaurant stuffing myself with crazy amounts of meat and roasted pineapple at Dad's company dinner. Two more days till Chinese New Year and I can't wait! I love prepping for the Lunar New Year, it's tradition. Just washed and waxed the car today so that's one off the list! Hopefully my swelling lymph node goes away, 10million pimples and pores start behaving, huge ulcer at the side of my lip goes away; I can barely open my mouth! ( I can't laugh out loud and I eat like a weirdo right now I should hide my face when I'm out).

Watching the Gloden Globe Awards Red Carpet on E! this year, there was honestly only one dress that made me go WOW! which was Charlize Theron's Haute Couture dress by Dior. Since she is the face of j'adore Dior, it's only fitting she wears all these amazing Dior gowns right? And with that face and body, she pulls of everything so beautifully and elegantly! She looks amazing! I was really anticipating Angelina Jolie's dress just like everyone else but I was a little disappointed this time. She looked so stiff in her dress, I felt a little uncomfortable just watching her wear it. Next up the SAG awards! (:

Waterlily

Had a very nice dinner at Waterlily near Aman Suria on Friday night with my boyfriend after running around doing errands everywhere! Lately I've been saying that word alot. Errands. Seems like there's so much to do before I leave this country and it's not just my errands, it's a combination of everyone's. Visa's to do, documents to read, places to go, stuff to fix, stuff to buy.. the list goes on. And of course, I'd never forget to update my blog. It's a great way to reflect on my day and share it with anyone interested.

Anyway, my ever so wonderful boyfriend was my driver and we also went to visit my Grandma at the hospital where she stayed for a day. She's alright now, and she just called me to go over to fix up her oven later before dinner. Oh right, what was I talking about? We had dinner at Waterlily, a lovely Balinese restaurant which has the right atmosphere and isn't located in a mall. Lovely.

Lemongrass Mojito.

Hazelnut Freddo which I highly recommend, it's like a Vanilla milkshake but better. They have a little glass of coffee for you to throw in too but we prefer it without cause once you pour that little glass in, the heavenly taste of hazelnut disappears.

Then, we had a plate of nasi dagang each, which is really delicious. There's fish, and squid and the oh so tender beef etc..and then more than half way through...I found a little friend called worm in my little tempe long bean salad (it's smack right in front of the lens but it was blur). Of course, my boyfriend lets the waitress know, though I wasn't very worried about it though cause, I've eaten bugs traveling around Thailand but you know, it's a restaurant and, you should let them know. Consumer rights, hey!

It was pretty funny, after the waitress left for the kitchen with my spoon to tell the chef, I was still digging in to my food with a fork in hand just cause I was that hungry! And the food there is good! (Without touching the salad of course). They took away my dish all the sudden offered to replace my dish, but I was already full by then (after finishing my boyfriend's food too) so they packed a whole meal for us and I brought it home. When I got home, I still had space left in my tummy to eat some more, so I did. *shy*

I love this video so much, I feel like I could watch it all day. When I came across it last year, I was in total awe. The way all these ladies carry out their clothes with confidence despite whatever age they are is simply inspiring. They have the personality my grandmother has which is really cute and fiesty. Plus, my grandma doesn't look like she's a grandma until she recently stopped dying her hair after my dad asked her to leave it silver. But nevertheless, with silver hair, my grandmother rocks it and is still young at heart.

Arcading and Contraband

Courtesy of Nuffnang, I got tickets to Contraband staring Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale! Ah yes, one of the hottest man and woman around who don't look like they're aging at all! I mean, look at their bodies at almost the age of forty! Anyway, on Tuesday, together with my sisters and boyfriend, we watched Contraband at e@Curve after a nice dinner at Tony Roma's.

Contraband is a pretty typical Mark Wahlberg movie I'd think. Mark Wahlberg plays a good guy (Mike Farraday) who tries to help his wife's (Kate Beckinsale) brother settle his debt and also protect his family by doing what he does best, smuggling. Contraband has a reasonable amount of action but is fit for those who love suspense. It's quite an exciting movie and also, makes you want to scream at Mark Wahlberg's brother in law! Ahh! Don't bring kids to this one though or they might pick up or continuously go "f*ck" That seems to be in every characters vocabulary.

Lately, my boyfriend and I have been going into every arcade we see. Apart from arcades being well, slightly unhygienic with kids who maybe pick their noses, arcade games (no matter how cheesy) are classic and kids these days may have the latest gadget or iPad, but they can't beat arcades! There's just an exciting feeling to arcades with flashing lights to attract kids and crazy loud,booming music that blasts at you, which gets your adrenaline pumping.

The aqua is alive!

Aqua is one of my favourite colours and aqua, in Chemistry is well, water. So it was really fitting that these pictures were taken by a fountain eh? I tend to stick to the same bag once I have most of my stuff in it and been leaning to small bags just cause they're so much more convenient. My nails are currently in a metallic aqua with two random pink nails. It totally makes me feel a little like a mermaid! Also, this cute ring that screams for attention with it's pompous size made of many tiny beads.

We had this turtle for our soup...I'm just kidding,it's my cousin's pet turtle which runs like pretty fast, it's like a dinasour!

Had a nice lunch the other day with my sisters and cousin at a Korean restaurant in Taman Desa. We've been planning to head out for lunch for a while now and finally we were all free, so it was a great chance to catch up. Plus, I love Korean food! I'd like to think it's healthy ya know, with all that vege and what not and I like kimchi. Heh. Maybe if we all eat enough Korean food we might just look like those pretty Korean actresses on the television or Girls Generation! Haha, I kid. Anyway, I've found a place to get plenty of Korean items since there are quite a few Korean Marts in Taman Desa, so if I ever need Korean items, I know where to go now!

And with that, I am broken with it.

Everything was pretty great, free tickets to Contraband from Nuffnang for the night, dinner with sisters was great. Until, it happened. Call it stupid but I'm totally feeling it's pain. Wrenched out of the blue and with that, shattered just like that. Pretty useless crying over it I know but I'm just so upset! It will never be the same again, never :(

I feel like I have betrayed you, if I could have held on to you much tighter and closer (in the car), maybe I could've avoided it. You were my reward. I feel extremely stupid, but maybe it's just that I have a lot going on in my head lately. I should stick a sticker on my head which reads "BEWARE! UNSTABLE EMOTIONS". I'm just hoping there isn't extensive damage to it!

As soon as I saw her TeenVogue photoshoot on E! News, I was kind of dumbfounded at Elle Fanning's beauty. Dakota Fanning's little sister is gracing the cover of TeenVogue's February issue at the age of 13. You got that right, she's only 13! She looks amazing in all the shots and most importantly she's only THIRTEEN! Sacre bleu! Elle Fanning definitely looks like a 20 something year old; a very gorgeous twenty something. How I wished I had such good looks or ability to dress like that when I was that age, or even right now!

She somehow has this old Hollywood but fresh look and really, she can practically pull of any clothes! Her looks on the red carpet are as beautiful as she is. At such a young age, she's already becoming a style icon. She's even walked for Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel Couture for her very first show, must have been a great dream come true. Elle's beauty and style definitely makes me green with envy!

I bet you're probably wondering what in the world is that thing on that cake?! Well, let me introduce you to Potface. Potface: boy/man created by the boys of 5 Aristotle years ago which has somehow become our "class mascot". *sigh* Great times, great times. Anyway, this was Gary's cake which Jones and Christine got for his surprise birthday party. Yes, I think my high school classmates love surprising each other, and it's good you know, that even after a year it's as if we never parted. This might be the last time I see everyone together which is quite sad really.

The way we surprised him was pretty epic since he stepped in the house just thinking he would be chilling and playing FIFA with his few friends and BOOM, we surprise him with confetti and all!

Potface, evolved into a dragon since candles were put into his nostrils.

Everyone just kept on going "WHY HAVEN'T YOU UPDATED?" or "IMESSENGER!" or "You should update it, it's so cool! It does this..and that.." Well, I've finally updated to iOS 5! Back from a nice night out at MJ. Four hours of sitting straight, I think I've just decreased my life span. Doh! Went for my pre-departure briefing today and even though it was kinda boring for many, my sister and I found it hilarious cause the lady was just well, hilarious. If you're my friend, I'd probably tell you bout it. I know I need to start prepping for my departure but I just try not to think about it. My sister thinks I'm in denial. But hey guys, I'll be in denial #likeaboss and sing to Niggas in Paris. My favourite song of the moment, when it played on the radio I started doing the bounce in the car with my sister. Jyeahh! I find this Uniqlo women dress shirt so comfy and of course paired it with the shorts I feel most comfortable in. Does anyone else besides me find it mega cool that Uniqlo's got shirts that heat up by themselves and protect you from UV rays?! And they're affordable too! Those thermal shirts would be handy for guys I'd say, since you'd be able to keep your girl warm at all times!

I've got this thing about tucking in my shirts nowadays cause it makes everything look much more neater which is always a big yes. Hair tied up and neat hair is apparently quite popular on the runways now but I regardless of what's trending, I prefer my hair up anyway. Slippers, definitely a need for my aching feet at the moment since I've been standing in the kitchen for far too long lately. Which reminds me, a Korean friend of mine once told me that flipflops and tongs are pretty much a Malaysian thing. I distinctively remember her saying "All the Malaysians always in their flipflops flip flap everywhere!".Hey, I guess it is a Malaysian thing!

Tang Yuan, or what I call Tong Yuin, always reminds me of my grandmother on my Mom's side, PohPoh. Brings me back to the time when she was staying over here for a little while during the Winter Solstice festival and we made Tong Yuin for the first time! For a kid, it is nevertheless exciting to roll colourful balls of glutinous rice balls with a little piece of cane/palm sugar as filling. Made them here too, a long time ago. How was everyone's New Year celebration? I spent mine at Tom,Dick and Harry's with my boyfriend and well, the number of people I knew there I could count with just the fingers on one hand. But it was alright anyway (: Doesn't feel like the new year yet but I'm glad the sun decided to shine more often and brightly now, kind of representing a better and brighter year perhaps? The heat though, needs some getting used to again since we haven't seen this much sun in a while!

I love this sequined top just cause I don't have to throw on any accessories (or not much anyway). Aha! Plus, I got this two years ago from Cotton On for just RM 20. What a steal! Also, it makes shiny dots all over the car ceiling(typo) when you're driving around on a sunny day!

This is the post when I should say something full of wisdom, something inspiring, how I've grown, life lessons about the year. Yeah, let's see if I can do that! Oh yes, I've grown, we all have (maybe not physically though, come on, grow 2 centimeters taller and I'd be all right; preferably 2cm around my legs) Anyway, in many ways we might not have known we were capable of, we have grown. It might be something we learnt in school, through books or through friends. Regardless of the how, every year when we reflect on the year, we realize a lot of things. 1. Crap, that was really stupid and 2. I've learnt something from that.

2011. It was something new, being out of highschool after five years, jumping into something new with college. I started the year like a fish out of water, it was very tough for me with so much going through my mind, it drove me crazy. I think paranoia had a lot to do with it. I was also in a LDR(long distance relationship) which sometimes can really take a toll on you. It's mind boggling this whole LDR thing, and this year I think I've heard a lot of people ask me "How do you do LDR?". Whatever it is, it's so worth it when you get reunited and know that you've succeeded in that phase of your relationship. This year, I also made new friends, got acquainted with old ones too and kept those who have always been around and cared close. I hope that for the future too! College was fun and I have so many great memories from it that I'll carry with me wherever I go-my CIMP hoodie too. Also, I started driving around this year and being more independent! Yay!

It's almost 2012 in a matter of hours and I don't have a New Years resolution. You know how they always glamorize the big "New Years Resolution". Magazines plastered with "NEW YEAR, NEW YOU.." "Follow these New Year Resolutions and be on your way to a better life..". It's common, people asking you what yours is just so they can butt into your life a little. Personally, I never made a New Year's resolution list. Maybe I should, maybe I will, let's see about that. Still lots of reflecting to do. One thing though, is to be more optimistic about things. (I've heard my friends complain about that alot)

Honestly, I'm very afraid of the future (I always am), and when it comes to a new year, it freaks me out a little. Cause with each year, it's getting older, making more decisions (life-changing decisions), being independent and going away from home? That scares me most, home is really where the heart is and being away is gonna be tough I know, but it's gonna be a new adventure. I'm telling myself that "I'm ready."

This year, I've learnt so much and stayed true to a motto that I believe will always apply every single day, "Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you." This year, I've also learnt the art of giving and making someone's day(even a stranger.. the drive thru lady at McD's or toll person) and the chain of happiness it can create, by not just making that person's day and others, but yours too.

There's no saying whether this year was bad or good, cause each year, without fail, there will be ups and downs, but what really matters is that I look past all the little bumps, and look at what made me smile. But thank you 2011.

Last Wednesday, it was sister day so the Saw sisters headed out for an afternoon of shopping at Sunway Pyramid (thank God I didn't spend a buck!). But finally got to wear my green jumper! The one I posted on my instagram(angelinasaw). After my sister burnt a lot of her cash buying pretty clothes, we headed for a little late lunch/tea at Delicious. The rest of the pictures are pretty self explanatory. Heh, had a good time (:

Bears

Went to Pavilion for a day of shopping and to get my flight bookings done, which is really just quite depressing cause I already have a date booked to be leaving for my "next chapter in life". But this isn't the time for that, it's just a little too depressing. Went with Momma and sisters and saw very long lines of United Bears around the outside of Pavilion each representing a country. Some, a little creepy looking I must say, but it's interesting having a bunch of bears around once in a while right? Haha.

I look way too tall over here. Bought these pants from Uniqlo which fits like a glove, which sometimes isn't necessarily a good thing I guess. But it's very comfy! Along with my chiffon cropped top from Cotton On. A long day of shopping requires comfy clothes! (:

Oh cool, just realized I took a picture next to the Malaysian Bear!

The Dragon-i at Pavilion does things pretty different, they charge tea by pot (RM5 a head) and their menu is different too!

Possibly my second favourite dish at Dragon-i right now, just needs more peppercorn! Reminds me of Beijing (:

I may sound childish but eventhough I like the way "bauble" sounds (baublebaublebaublebauble), I call it jingleballs. I mean, it makes perfect sense that I call it jingleballs right? Anyway, how was your Christmas?! Filled with presents, no? Mine wasn't filled with presents since we don't really celebrate Christmas at home but I definitely had a beautiful Christmas day cause I spent the early morning and afternoon with my lovely family (I guess they're my presents hey!) which also involved my sisters and I freaking out and screaming in the car at the petrol station pretending my Dad as he entered the car. Got pretty weird stares from the people at the gas station especially the guys washing the cars but that was entertaining. That and aimless car rides with Daddy. Spent the night with my boyfriend's family at his aunt's place for dinner with amazing food! Ah, turkey, pasta, cakes and ahh everything was lovely! Joy to the world I say! Paddington Burger.

Met up with my girls at Paddingtons House of Pancakes, The Curve for talks over lunch. Looking at that burger makes me feel hungry. I've been trying a lot of burgers at restaurants lately. God how much I love juicy beef burgers. And this one, topped with fluffy pancakes as the burger buns, gotta love it! Eh crap, just realized I forgot to try that yellow sauce in that tiny bowl on the left! -.- Anyway, lunch was good (:

On my way to the Curve, saw this poor Care Bear that's gonna be dragged all around roads as far as this truck goes! :( I always wondered why big vehicles hang little toys at the end of it, does it serve another purpose besides being cute? Even seen a big truck with "balls" hanging at the behind and it is just awkward when you're in the car with your mom and the vehicle is right in front of you! Aha but my Mom's pretty cool and laughs while I pretend I don't see anything. Hehe.

My friends you see, they were kinda camera shy that day.

After lunch and a little walking around with Jamie and Suet, I joined the sister and Shu Yee for some shopping. Yay to shopping! Hehe. Then, after everyone abandoned me one by one (true story) I sat cuddly at the corner of a bookstore to have a good read. Hours of reading, and watching different strangers sit close by engrossed in their own books and having a view of crazy traffic and rain outside. Sat there until the strangers who were seated around me disappeared, then got picked up by the boy to have dinner with his Mom at Betty's (which by the way is so good!)

So, if I was an open book, wouldn't it be just so easy to read me?

I see things all too clear

Sorry for the delay in posts, been so busy going everyday(not exaggerating) and my pocket is gonna bleed with all the shopping and dining out I've been doing lately. Even I'm getting so mixed up with all my posts! Anyway, this was on Monday, when it was raining the whole afternoon so I couldn't wear my suedes out. Yenn and I went to Empire to do some bakery shopping and got sucked into all those deals at clothing stores and stayed way longer than expected. Ah, don't you just hate it when you can't resist a good deal and end up walking into all the shops! Bumped into Phoebe working and a few familiar faces at Empire even friends from primary school!

They just look so pretty! SPRINKLE PACKS O.O
They would make me so happy to sprinkle all over my cookies or cakes or whatever! Ahh! Like a fairy!! Too bad they cost more than 20 bucks for that packet! My mom would slaughter me! Way too expensive for sprinkles; even if they're very pretty sprinkles.

When we got home around four ish and started making the dough for our butter cookies right away and then put them in the fridge to rest and harden for rolling and cutting later at night! Right after making the cookie dough us three sisters started making Chinese tophats or "pai tee" which took quite a long time since we only had one of that metal tophat making thingy and had to take time to perfect the batter! Oh gosh, that was really a pain. It's always a pain trying to figure out the perfect consistency for the batter so that they turn out crisp and don't stick to the "ancient metal tophat making thing". I think I spent about a good 7 hours that Monday until 11 at night baking and cooking cause after dinner it was baking cookies. These few days have been a lot of slaving in the kitchen too, my heels really hurt from standing and running around the kitchen prepping, cooking and baking. Last Saturday, headed to Markets@Jaya One with my sisters. Always love going to bazaars cause you find little treasures you can't find anywhere else! I think I've been to at least 5 of the Markets/Chic Pop altogether and always end up finding something new. Like here during Chic Pop 9, there was just so many cool things to look at! This time I actually found a really interesting clothing shop which I think a lot of girls will like. You know I'm all about sharing when there's something great! So scroll down if you wanna find out! (:

Things that pressed my "ooh" button while shopping at Markets @ Jaya One last Saturday:

Sister bought the little Santa card in the picture, which I find is too cute and should be framed! Heh (:

Simple notebooks from Mossery, unfortunately a little too thin for a person like me who writes everything down!

Of course during Markets @ Jaya One, or Chic Pop, there are always myriads of clothing stores all around. Majority all selling vintage and chiffon tops. However, I think this shop, Emcee Couture is worth looking at. Emcee Couture sells not just beautiful clothing that are one of a kind but also provides customization according to your preference! I think that's really great since you can get dresses that fits like a glove online and avoid purchasing clothes that are way too tight or way too baggy.

Looking around at a few pieces at her stall while waiting to try on one of the maxi dresses, I really think that Mei Chi of Emcee Couture has done some great work. And get this girls, she makes all of these dresses herself! Ah! I really can't imagine doing all that sewing work and what not but she really does a great job, especially with the convertible dresses! Really suitable for bridesmaids dresses. Talking to her for that short bit, I know she's just really passionate about making the clothes that's why I really admire and recommend Emcee Couture. Plus, she's really sweet too! Sometimes, I find a lot of shops are all about making the cash which is a quite annoying. I always enjoy interacting with people who enjoy what they do and tend to be more satisfied with my purchase.

Was meaning to post this up yesterday but unfortunately, Unifi was down and today, I was around Empire and then slaving in the kitchen making Chinese tophats and Christmas cookies. Anyway, this was on Friday, when I went out with Jason to One Utama to have lunch, did some shopping (I didn't though!) and then headed out for Juno's birthday dinner surprise at D'Italiane Kitchen. That Friday was insane cause I stuffed myself like there was no tomorrow.

She always looked so gorgeous in her old pictures like the one above and she really was 'the' movie star. (Camilla Belle kind of looks like her when she was younger) A great actress, Elizabeth Taylor truly was and is old Hollywood glam! If I were able to have the aura of Elizabeth Taylor, the "diva-ness" if you'd like to call it, I could be queen -And she probably could've been. Days as seen by my iPhone: Christine's Surprise Birthday Dinner

I've known Christine ever since I was thirteen and she's always such a happy person ready to help anyone. So of course, I'm thankful I had her as a classmate for five years! Her boyfriend, Gary (aka Gala-class joke), decided to throw her a surprise birthday dinner this year and I would say it was definitely a success. I picked Suet up from her house (whootwhoot) and we were off to Bubba Gump at the Curve. After what seemed like a long time, they arrived. Tapping her on the back to see her turn around in shock to a group of more than 20 people was simply priceless! The whole song by the Bubba Gump crew and what they did to Gary who accompanied Christine on the chair, was absolutely hilarious I laughed so hard I could've throwed up all of my burger. Also, such a great time to meet up with my old classmates! ;')

Wednesday gluttony

The wheather's been pretty hot and cold lately despite it being the rainy monsoon season. Of course you see all over the newspapers pictures of floods everywhere due to the heavy rain, (thankful there's no floods around my place) but the "biggest star" does come out every once in a while, cutting through clouds. And it does rain at the perfect time around here, during the afternoons, close to evenings which I totally love. You still get to enjoy the sunshine in the morning!

Had the Meatballs Wednesday from Subway today before settling all my education stuff. Is it weird that I always order my Subways with everything on it? Every veg and every sauce? The guys over the counter always give me the weridest stare like "Are you sure?Really sure?Really really sure?" Of course I'm sure! Everything on is such a good mixture, messy; but tastes uhhhmazingg! After Subway, it was Baskin Robbins 31! (; (I just have to say the 31, you know). Pink Wednesdays!

So, I'm sure I'm not the one who has everything on their Subway right?

I just, want more clothes

Browsing through files on my computer recently and found a few pictures I saved from style.com during New York Fashion Week. Among all, I realized I really really really like Vivienne Tam's the most! I first heard of Vivienne Tam when she collaborated with HP to create the special edition "Butterfly lovera (A classic Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet) netbook clutch; which I still love to this day. I collaged the pieces I like from her NYFW show and while I know it's pretty impossible for me to get any of these up here, I still look at this collage pretty often. I admire the style and the cuts of the clothing. The clothes just look so fresh and crisp, yet relaxed. Really loving the kebaya look it has making it look dressed up but still relaxed. They all look like a piece that you can wear during the day and night.

The more I look at this, the more I want more clothes!

Grow Onion, Grow!

Sometimes, I just enjoy spending time in the garden, walking around looking at all the plants around and watching the fishes in my dad's pond. Any little bit of nature I can absorb feels refreshing when we're constantly looking at our phone or laptop screens everyday. Gardening, is pretty fun too, watching plants grow is always an exciting thing. Especially when you can consume something you've planted, it's organic and fun!

My maid absolutely loves gardening and she's definitely one with 'green fingers'. She's planted so many kinds of vegetable and fruits too that she harvests; I can't remember it all! From pumpkins, long beans, chillies, lime, ginger, okra, yams and even passion fruit. It's always great looking out the window on the side and back of our house and finding new kinds of vegetables and fruits ready to be part of our next dish for dinner! I, on the other hand, am pretty much clueless about gardening. But I try!

So, when we found this little onion cut into half growing in the fridge, I just thought, hey maybe I should just plant it and get some spring onions! I think onions are pretty much a necessity for most dishes but I really really love spring onions to add to anything, fresh or cooked. It simply works! Just adding spring onions to mashed potatoes makes it so much more flavourful and presentable too!

And then, the roots grow up so long that you have to replant them again and so you pray it'll continue to grow once you've transferred pots!

One day, when I have a home, I'm gonna make sure I have a garden full of plants all over the place! Or..if I have an apartment just, lots of plants on the balcony or something!

As of right now, I would like to curl up in a ball, sit in a corner and just not think. Anything, just to not think. All these applications and everything that's happening is pretty much driving me insane. I knew it that life after college would be tougher with all this decision making and all but ohmygod, I'm just not prepared for it. I couldn't sleep at all last night cause each time I close my eyes I just kept on dreaming of applications all over my table! Weird, I know. And so, I'm awake with my eyes staring at the dark ceiling and all I can think about is applications. It's pretty hard to get the reference letters you want since everyone's on holiday already and writing personal statements are just, a total headache. Word limits, character limits, different numbers of questions, different questions. It's all so, confusing. Yes, I do realize, it is my fault and that I should've started earlier like the hard working people out there!

And while you're going through confusing, life pondering questions, asking you about what you're going to do in the future, you really ask yourself, "WHAT AM I GOING TO DO IN THE FUTURE?". I just don't know. And this is what I tell myself all the time just to make myself feel better, that no one knows what they're going to do anyway and it'll naturally come to you. Everything happens for a reason. Oh, but I do envy people who know exactly what they want to do. To be so lucky!

Then, aside from your worries about your education you have other things to worry about.
That, is even more heart wrenching than anything else.
I literally am having a breakout that sprouted over night like the BM pepatah "mushrooms after the rain".

It was lovely.

Something about getting to know your partners past and family, I guess it makes you that much closer. It was my first time in Kuantan, got to try my boyfriend's favourite "Mee Calong" which after having it, realized it really is pretty hard to describe! But it's all good (: Had three little boys running around, I've never seen kids with so much energy that can stay up for more than 12 hours running and screaming to everything! Nevertheless, they kept me entertained despite little language barrier. Ah, Kuantan was also pretty much the place I practically spoke the most Mandarin ever - Or at least, attempt to speak.

Everything is pretty laid back and homey there. Now, I understand why he loves it so much and why he was itching to bring me there. You know, I've never had a kampung hometown, (I don't have one) so it was pretty nice. I have way more pictures and videos with me -trying so hard not to post them all up (cause I like them all!); but I'll save that for my next video (:

On Friday, the 2nd of December, with little sleep and extremely tired, I woke up at about ten minutes to seven in the morning. Happy to be graduating, sad however to be leaving and closing another chapter in my book of life. Sad to be leaving friends I've made such a great connection with and had always cheered me on throughout my journey at CIMP. And still on that morning, I didn't know what to wear! Never mind that HUGE pimple I had on my forehead, the bigger dilemma was that I didn't know what to wear! Wore a long yellow dress there and a pair of heels but ended up going through a whole wadrobe change with a different set of clothes and shoes after feeling like a total curtain with the graduation robe.

So, I just graduated from CIMP, and extremely satisfied with my results too! (:

Almost everyday, my friends at CIMP yell at me for not having enough confidence about doing well. Honestly, I'm always glad that even though I might not have enough faith in myself, I know that they do. I'm happy with my results and now, I have another RM80 to burn at the school's bookshop, yay!

Being reunited with these two girls below just brings back so many memories (: Eventhough we haven't seen each other in a while; (Jamie Potateoh for about a year too!), it's never awkward when we hang out. It's like that you know, once you've had so many memories together, growing up through highschool together and have built a friendship so strong. The minute I got into the car with these two, I just had to go "REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!" You get the drift. Well, the three musketeers are finally reunited for now! And all grown up too!

So we had dinner at my favourite Thai restaurant, Thai Thai. Pretty sure you know that.

Lovely afternoons with friends talking about well, a lot of things, life and such. Had a filling lunch at Kar Heong, one of my favourite places to eat Hor Fun and according to Grace, it's close to Ipoh Hor Fun. So full from lunch so we sat there for a while talking since we couldn't decide where to go! Alas, we spontaneously headed to Empire and had a little dessert at Whisk, also mistakenly ordering 20 macarons instead of 10 at first and that's where we had more deep conversations. You know, those that make you realize that life brings you so many decision making and so many unexpected roadblocks. After which, it was just running around everywhere getting Lilo's stuff, random grocery window shopping and um,looking for free helium balloons. Hehe.

Damn it why did I have to look so sleepy on the last day!

Unfortunately, my days at CIMP are over. I used to dread going to college, absolutely hated it! But as days passed, I couldn't help but enjoy CIMP especially during my second semester. Of course, firstly it was cause of the people I've met. One thing I've learnt about CIMP is that it provides so many chances for you to be involved, active and have fun. And to truly enjoy college, you have to take these opportunities be it the many clubs, class events like sales/exhibitions or CIMP events like SkyTrex, the Terry Fox Run, Lip Dub or Talent Night to name a few. You not only meet great friends from all around the world, but have amazing lecturers that simply make learning so much easier. There are so many people who will be going back home to their respective countries and might never get a chance to see again which makes me really sad. If I had to describe CIMP in one word, it's that the people have a sense of selflessness (well, at least the people I've met) teachers and friends. They would always do simply anything to put a smile on a friend's face or help a friend or teacher.Yup, altruists!

It's sad that our last week here at CIMP had to involve losing a former lecturer here at CIMP and even if I didn't have a chance to be in his class, just watching him outside of class and how much his students love him is enough to know he was a great teacher.

To commemorate Mr Pelland's death, students wore a heart shaped P (done by the dedicated students) pinned to their clothes for a week and a memorial was held to celebrate his life. It was amazing to see all those who cared about him show up from hockey and flag football mates, students and friends from Malaysia.

With this post, the only way I can conclude it is that..
It's sad the only way we know how to appreciate life and know how short life is through a person's death.
It's sad the only way we learn how to miss is when we have to move on and leave.

My final certificate and award ever from Sri KDU! Aha. And look, from my favourite teacher too! Mr Sara! Whoo. Had my boy next to me and family too as I accepted my SPM Star Award yay! Honestly, I'd say I miss highschool a lot, and walking around highschool again made me feel so nostalgic, but then again it felt very weird not seeing many familiar faces. Without the same people I knew around, it definitely felt like a foreign place. Oh well! Definitely great seeing a few of the teachers and friends again. (Hi JiaJia,I know you're reading this! (;)

This was last week. Anyway, Awards Nite at the beginning was awards awards as usual (why were there so many ties?!) And HOMAGOD, this year's performance definitely topped any other performance in Sri KDU. I will never understand how they kept on changing the sets so quickly and how amazing the sets looked! Totally mindfucked. The singing, the ensemble, the costumes, was amazing! Yeah, nuff said.

CRAY CRAY!

Are you ready for me to explain my long week again? Right, you're reading this aren't you? Anyway, this is my blog and I can write whatever I want, you don't have to read it anyway hey? I know I always say that my week's been crazy and stuff but really, it has been, with little sleep and working non stop throughout the days. Rushing in assignments, projects, presentations, emotions running high, a Chinese wedding(in school), Editorial Board pages -which I've sent in already Hallelujah! and this morning till in the afternoon..CIMP Lip Dub.

Okay, I'm pretty sure I look like a retard in 90% of whatever shots I'm in but I'm glad I got to help out by just turning up. Walking and singing up the stairs backwards, running here,there, everywhere; tiring, but fun. A lot of work and time has been put into it and I'd say a great job was done by everyone! It was simply amazing that the CIMP- ians took time off from their Saturday instead of sleeping in and it was pretty fun running,singing and dancing around school. The Movie Making Club and even ex CIMP-ians have put in so much time and effort to the semester video and I really can't wait to see the end product! If I can, I'll post it up here! Had lunch with my Lilo Adeline at Kar Heong today even though we were so pooped. Until now I have yet to get my proper rest! Thing is, I'm feeling sick and it's stopping me from sleeping. This really sucks!

But I'm so thankful I had people to help me pull through the tough week like my boy, Vanya, Adeline, Ching Chee and Grace! (;

That nose had everyone staring at me the whole day going "Whats that?" or "OMG YOUR NOSE!HAHA!"

Lately I've been having a lot "Days as seen by my iphone", but really, instagram is amazing isn't it? (: Wondering what my pictures are actually saying?

So, it's the holidays and I wouldn't be sane if I didn't fill my time up with lots of food especially 1. Junk food, all day all night during the holidays! Been really busy with assignments and projects despite it being a holiday and also an 2. Editorial Board meeting at Sunway Medical Centre's Starbucks. Too odd for you? Yesterday was Vnod's small Deepavali Open House which was nice cause I got to catch up with familiar faces! Today, the boy and I decided to go to do some community service at 3,4. KECHARA Soup Kitchen in Kuala Lumpur. "Hunger Knows No Barriers" definitely applies here, click here for more info. All the efforts are done by volunteers which is amazing! I washed about 200 over oily Tupperware tupperwares and let's just say, with the amount of soap used, my hands will never be the same again! Haha (: Anyway, 5,6. Food, food, food, all the time! :D and of course, time with my boy.

Psst, could you tell I was burning with high fever when I took this picture after college? Everything is so grey and blue here, I really love it. I tend to wear a lot of dull colours, but what I really wish I could pull of more often would be solid, bright colours without looking like a total lala (clam). I have a weird skin colour that sometimes looks so green and yellow ah, how I wish I could get the skin tone and texture of Korean singers and actresses!

Found this Zara denim top at a warehouse sale years back and I was itching to get one even if it was a size XL, but it's so comfy and perfect for rainy days! Yes,I do realize I have ankles the shape of onions after a long day of walking. Looks a little ugly and clumsy but I think they're totally cute cause I feel like I've got onions on my ankles. Wokay, weirdooo.

Since our 35th month mark just passed, I think it's only fitting that I post pictures from our little lazy day date last week after my birthday. I was still sick, but hey I love day dates! The GPS took us a whole circle around town to get to Pavilion when I clearly stated to Jason that I knew the way there! Damn you lady with the sexy voice (GPS)!

Had a really late lunch at a Japanese restaurant called Watami, where the food is pretty good and the staff are great! This was before we found Tokyo Street upstairs which had so many Japanese restaurants! Walked around a lot and after a little shopping, settled for tea at Starhill Gallery's Tea Salon. Finally, my boy gets to try macarons! And perfect, they were from Nathalie's! However, it was more expensive than usual which was like RM6 a pop!Had some caramel tea, just sat there and headed home to watch Nasi Lemak 2.0 with his sisters. Gosh, love the parts when they sing in one language and it sounds like a total other language!

So, during the first week of October, I headed down to Malacca, or should I say Melaka - The tour guide insists that there is no other spelling than Melaka. So yes, I headed down to Melaka with my IDC (Interdisciplinary Studies) classmates for our trip to get our 4% worth of marks. At first, being lazy as usual, I was pretty hesitant to go. But after a day around Melaka with my friends, I'd say I enjoyed my day trip there! I'd never been to Melaka before except when I was a kid (or so my mother says - who knows, I can't remember). So finally going around Melaka and seeing the Hang Li Po's well, Bukit Cina, A Famosa and everything else..was really nice. Sure, the sun was scorching hot and there was a lot of walking, but overall it was really fun!

I'm Eighteen!

Here's a short recap. Yesterday, I woke up late for class and sick again. Was serenaded by Happy Birthday songs in all three classes and in four different languages; English, Korean, B.M and Bahasa Indon which I thought was pretty cool. After class, lying dead on the tables talking to my friends and BOOM, my friends (Adeline, Vanya,Cacing etc..) surprise me together with my sister and boyfriend (: Shocked to the core! Heh. Thank you so much again guys! Had lunch with my SuetSuet at Sunway Pyramid and then fell dead asleep for a few hours when I got home due to my fever. Headed out for an amazing dinner at Las Carretas with my family and the boy, and got Happy Birthday sung Mexican style, wearing a heavy sombrero! Got home, the last Happy Birthday song of the day, made a billion wishes, blew out my candles, cut my cake, and had my cake. (:

Definitely a good birthday, (minus being sick) spent with loved ones.

Part of my Business Leadership project this semester, we had to create a business and seriously (seriously) do everything an actual real life business does. So yes, lately I've definitely been feeling like a business woman. From the designing of the logo, the organization structure, budgets and what not.. together with my team mates Fill, (Me)Angelina, Caitlyn and Sara, we created our own little business or should I say company called F.A.C.S. which stands for our names and also our Fun, Affordable, Childhood Stuff. Our products are aimed to bring out the child in you and have childhood toys applicable to your daily style! I've always wanted to make all these things and with the help of my great team mates, we did! We made all of our products by hand which you can see over here. But you do have to add us as a friend first (Yes, we will accept you) to view our products. We have handmade reversible pouches, bead bracelets, Lego rings, keychains and necklaces and more!

Everything done has been given so much attention to detail. From the products, to the packaging! I can't wait till our sales dates which is on this Wednesday and Thursday at the Energy Hub, Sunway University! (:

First up we have for cakes is Passion. Passion is not your typical cake as it doesn't actually have cake in it. The bottom layer is a biscuit base, followed by a light milk chocolate ganache. The orange layer is a tangy mango and passion fruit jelly. The tanginess gives this light but rich dessert a lovely freshness. Last but not least, the layer that holds everything together is the light yoghurt mousse.

{St Paul's Church}

Went to Melaka yesterday, and despite it being extremely hot with Mr Sun shining down on us with pride while we walked everywhere. It probably made me a little sick again but I had a good time! (: Never been to Malacca in years,since I was a kid and I don't even remember it! Got to see all the historical places around Malacca and head to busy Jonker Street where I bumped into Sam too! Finally tried the famous chicken rice balls and cendol too!

Took my cervical cancer prevention jab a week back and boy, did it hurt quite a bit. At first when the doctor put the needle in, I'm like "Ah, yeah okay, needle's in, hard part's over." Little did I know when he injects the medicine into my arm, I went "Oh crap, what is this poison?!" At least I didn't faint! There's a little bruising for a day or two, nothing big. And it comes with a cute plaster too! Hehe.

Cervical cancer most often affects women during their reproductive years. Worldwide, cervical cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in women.This cancer robs some women of the ability to bear children and threatens the lives of young mothers.Cervical cancer vaccine also called Human Papillomavirus or HPV vaccines) protect against the virus that causes almost all cervical cancers. Females who are sexually active may also benefit from the vaccines. But they may get less benefit from vaccination since they may already have been exposed or infected with one or more of the HPV types covered by the vaccines. [source]

After two months, I'll be taking my second shot out of three. I'd say though, it's pretty unfair that starting from last year 13 year olds in high school get free injections from the government! How bout the older kids who can't afford it? :( Damn, that is sad.

In a daze

It's been an extremely busy week that I feel like I've been in a daze. Staying back in school, late nights, getting sick, tests, projects and work. It's crazy. I feel like I'm floating through all of this and my mind is somewhere else. Quite freaky actually. But hey, I think I just really need some sleep. So many projects mounting up and my mind is clouded with so much! The boy just got home yesterday, yay (: I've got some work to do tonight and a test to study for and then my much needed sleep. I can't keep floating through weeks anymore in a blur. My mind is too scattered.

When Yenn told the clown "Oh, my sister wants a balloon too!", he started looking among the small kids close to the ground and said "Which one is your sister?" And when she pointed to me, he looked up and did a little jump and said "Wah, your sister also wants a balloon! Okay! What do you want?" Hehe. *blush* (:

Can't believe we spent 18 bucks trying to fish out a lucky duck and we got nothing! :(

What I wore: Interview "You Guys Are Cool"

Lately, I've definitely been feeling like a business woman with our Business Leadership project coming up and all! (: However, this was for the interview last Friday.

The interview for the Harvard Prize Book Award on Friday lasted about 20 minutes and honestly, I know I did my best and actually had fun during the interview! Odd. Doesn't matter that I was talking about Al Gore and totally forgot the name of his documentary, The Inconvenient Truth- duh! and that my motor mouth couldn't stop with umms.. and wells!But anyway, I don't know, I just felt very comfortable with the judges which I guess was a good thing! Right? I can't believe I even said "you guys are cool" when I left the room which left my mouth hanging in shock as I walked out. Did I just say "you guys are cool!?"

Yupp, I did.

Definitely a good experience but I'm glad that's over with! (:

Hi, I know I haven't been blogging for the past few days but gosh, I've been so busy this week! College has resumed this week, starting off with a quiz and a presentation on Monday followed by work,work,work and a business management test today. Now, I have to focus on what's about to go on tomorrow. My interview for the Harvard Prize Book Award. Me, being in a quiet room, "interrogated" by adults.. not a good combination. The last time I stepped in for an interview, it went horribly wrong!
Hopefully I can answer the questions they have for me to my best ability without slurring my words, stuttering or having my usual "bad communication skill habits" of going "Umm, you know, like..". I'll have to dress formally -Something I have yet to think about! and well, basically try my best to stay calm. Most importantly, Be Myself. But being myself would mean either keeping very quiet or talking extremely fast and perhaps running around the room blowing bubbles and asking them to join me. Hmm..

So,am I ready for some palm sweating and major butterflies in my tummy tomorrow?
Well, "I'm ready for the worst, but hope for the best!".
Wish me luck for my interview! (:
