Tory Burch Spring 2014

How about a jump in that inviting pool? Or maybe just a lounge by it?

One show that caught my eye this season at NYFW was Tory Burch's line of ultra chic womenswear. The show featured models strutting down the deep blue water-like catwalk similar to that of a swimming pool smartly dressed for everyone's favourite time of the year, summer. The crisp trims and clean cut silhouettes were adorned with little garden motifs and that hue of sixties green I just fell in love with. Each piece not only looked so effortlessly glamourous but comfortable too. What more could we ask for?

The collection was inspired by Romy Schneider in the 1969 Italian-French movie La Piscine (The Swimming Pool), personally the collections seems perfect for the affluent lady lounging poolside or sipping tea by the tennis court but one who is not passive. Instead, she is one who takes the summer sun as her source of power and naturally with the clothes she wears, she commands that power wherever she goes.

It was so sixties, but so still so modern. Someone give me more of that sixties green!
