As soon as Spring Break started, I couldn't wait to start exploring Melbourne a little bit more and get out of the city! With my bestfriends and my sister having the same sentiments, we planned a trip down to Yarra Valley and Mt. Dandenong by car, embracing nature. First stop, the famous annual Tesselaar Tulip Festival at the..Tesselaar Tulip Farm which is currently on till the 9th of October. Great weather, fresh air, a little happy music playing at the back and rows and rows of beautiful tulips. So great to get out of the city really. There were also a few food and drink stalls and other activities going on as well.
Only down thing was that we had to go through muddy terrain to get our tourist-ey pictures up close to the tulips. And I expected way more tulips based on the pictures I saw online. I bet you're asking "how many more tulips do you want to see?!". Anyway, these are just a few of the many pictures we took!
With these three, we were ready to take on the drive, the wonderful scenery and take in the fresh smell of wonderful nature. Yes, those three Dutch heads up there! Haha okay okay, they deserve a better picture, scroll down!
Sounds a little weird and crazy but we managed to spend about two whole hours there! Yeah, two hours looking at rows of colourful tulips. Haha, well, we managed to entertain ourselves in quite embarrassing ways by taking tonnes of pictures, making short video snippets and running around looking for gnomes.
